Introducing the apostolate to the Congregation for the Clergy

June 6, 2009

Visit to Vatican City

Joan Johnson, foundress and president of the Christopher Inn International, and Clayton Emmer, treasurer, traveled to Rome this past week to introduce the apostolate to the Congregation for the Clergy in Vatican City.

Between June 1 and June 5, they met not only with an English-speaking representative for the Congregation, but also with several priests and religious in Rome to share about the project and seek their counsel.

In addition, they spent some time at various sites of pilgrimage, such as the tomb of Pope John Paul II, praying for the project and for the upcoming Year for Priests which begins on June 19.

A gift on the part of laypeople to the Church's priests: a unique international destination offering refreshment, formation and fraternity for Catholic clergy.
